Lord God, grant that we may be found worthy to enter your most holy sanctuary and stand before your altar with clean and pure hearts; to listen to your life-giving Word and offer you spiritual sacrifices in true faith; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen.

My brothers and sisters pray for me, “as I go in to the altar of God, the God of my gladness and joy.” (Psalm 43:4a)

PREPARATION OF THE OFFERINGS

(The faithful are SEATED during the preparation of gifts. The priest then incenses the altar, the gifts, the Gospel and the Icon of the Blessed Mother while the faithful sing an appropriate hymn such as the following.)

(The Priest bows before the altar of life praying:)

O God, I have entered your house and have bowed before your throne. O Heavenly King forgive all my sins that I have committed against you. (Psalm 138:2)

(He kisses the center of the altar, the right then the left praying:)

Lord bind our feasts to the corners of your altar. You are my God, I thank you and praise you. (Psalm 118:27-28)

(He takes the host with both hands and prays:)

Like a sheep, He was led to the slaughter; like a lamb before its sheerer, He was silent and opened not His mouth. (Acts 8:32)

(He places the host on the paten praying:)

O Lord, you have made your sanctuary a place of your dwelling, which your hands established, may you reign forever. (Exodus 15:17)

(He mixes water with the wine in the cruet then pours the wine into the chalice praying:)

One of the soldiers thrust a lance into His side, and immediately blood and water flowed out. An eyewitness has given this testimony, and his testimony is true. (John 19:34-35a)

(He raises the chalice and prays:)

How shall I make a return to the Lord for all the good He has done for me? The cup of salvation I will take up, and I will call upon the name of the Lord. My vows to the Lord I will pay in the presence of all His people. (Psalm 116:12-14)

We are mindful of our Lord and God, our Savior Jesus Christ, and His work of redemption.
We remember Mary the ever-virgin, Mother of God; the prophets, the apostles,
the evangelists, the martyrs, the confessors, the just, the priests, the holy fathers,
the true pastors, the teachers of true doctrine, the hermits, the monks and all the faithful people who pray with us and do the will of God.

(He places the chalice and the paten on the corporeal, covering them with the veil praying:)

The heavens were veiled by the splendor of His glory and all the earth has been filled with His praise.

(After the incenses is imposed, the celebrant, the altar, the gifts , the concelebrant(s) and the faithful are incensed as they STAND.)

1.) I knock at your door, O Lord and ask for mercy. I am a sinner who has neglected your way in my life. Grant that I confess my sins and to reject them in order to live in your grace.

(Proemion/Introductory Prayer)

Praise and thanksgiving now and forever to Jesus Christ, our sovereign pontiff,
the pure and holy sacrifice, who by offering Himself, purified us from our sins and saved the universe. To Him is due all praise, honor and glory and to
His Father and Holy Spirit now and forever. Amen.

(The incense is imposed by the celebrant.)

(D.) Before the merciful Lord and his forgiving altar; before His divine and heavenly mysteries, let us ask for mercy and forgiveness as our venerable father now imposes incense.

Have mercy on us, O Lord, and come to our aid.

The deacon incenses the holy altar, the book of the Gospels, the Icon of the Virgin Mary, the celebrant(s) and faithful.)

(Husoyo/Prayer of Forgiveness)

O Lord, be our forgiveness, have pity on us and spare us. In your infinite mercy, pardon the many sins of your people. In your kindness, remember us and those who are dear to us: the children of your holy and glorious Church. O Lord, grant eternal rest to those who have gone before us and may the dew of your mercy refresh them. O Christ our Lord and King, God of glory, come to our aid and deliver us, accept our prayers and take far from us your just punishment, making us worthy of eternal happiness. O God of peace, grant us the desire to do your will, so that we may end our lives in your Love as we give you praise and thanksgiving now and forever. Amen.

(Sedro/Main Prayer)

Lord, God Almighty, accept from our sinful hands this incense as you accept the sacrifice of praise from all who call upon you with pure hearts. Allow us to approach your altar and strengthen us, that we may offer you spiritual sacrifices for our sins and the sins of your people. Make our offering acceptable to you and may your Holy Spirit descend upon all of us, through Jesus Christ our Lord who is glorified with you and your Holy Spirit now and forever. Amen.

…the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light true God from true God, begotten not made, one in being with the Father. Through Him all things were made. For us and for our salvation He came down from heaven; by the power of the Holy Spirit He was born of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died, and was buried. (The priest incenses the altar and faithful, then washes his hands. After the creed, the clergy make the procession of the offerings to the altar preceded by the cross, thurible and candles. The celebrant receive the gifts and prays:)

We adore you King of kings and Lord of Lords and we ask you to extend your merciful hand upon your servants bowed before your majesty. Bless, guard, purify and sanctify the sheep of your flock redeemed by the blood of your
Only-begotten Son. May your living face shine upon their foreheads, so that the enemy will recognize them as your redeemed flock as we offer praise to you,
and to your Son and to your Holy Spirit now and forever. Amen.

(D.) Let us stand devoutly as we worship with purity and holiness,
let us contemplate with sincere love and faith this holy offering which is placed before us and offered as a living host by the venerable priest (Bishop) to God our Father and Lord of all.
